Sandy upgraded to category one hurricane

Tropical Storm Sandy has now been upgraded to a category one hurricane as it heads for Jamaica.

It is now packing winds of 80 miles per hour and is moving at 13 miles per hour.

Sandy will make landfall in Kingston this afternoon.
