The Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine is now open but the police are urging motorists to be very careful when using the road way.

Personnel from the Mobile Reserve and the St Catherine North Police Division using heavy duty equipment, are working in conjunction with the National Solid Waste Management Authority and other government agencies to clear large sections of the Gorge of boulders and other debris.

"Persons using the gorge must follow the instructions of the Police and desist from speeding or improper overtaking,” said Commanding Officer for the St Catherine North Division, Senior Superintendent Anthony Castelle.

He says the Police will continue to work with the other government agencies to bring roadway to normal conditions.
