The Police High Command is now investigating the circumstances under which five men escaped from the Portmore Police Lock-up in St Catherine yesterday.
Head of the Area Five Police Assistant Commissioner Novelette Grant, who confirmed the probe, said up to news time none of the men had been recaptured. The five, Amir Hanson, Andrew Edwards, Marvin Barnett, Jomo Burton and Oshane Thomas, are facing charges ranging from murder to shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm. It’s reported that they were discovered missing after routine early morning checks revealed that the bars and grills at the ventilated area in their cell had been cut. editorial@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
