Portland tax offices closed on Monday

Tax Administration Jamaica, the TAJ, says the tax offices in Annotto Bay, St Mary and Buff Bay, Portland, will remain closed on Monday.
This as it continues to carry out clean-up and repair work at both facilities arising from the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy on Wednesday.
The TAJ says customers in those communities should therefore use the Port Antonio or Port Maria tax offices to conduct business.
The Tax Department says the public will be advised of a reopening date for both offices after further assessments are conducted.
And The TAJ is warning that members of the public could still experience delays at other tax offices, particularly in St Thomas, Portland and St Mary.
But it says every effort is being made to restore normalcy in the shortest possible time.
