NewsAll schools reopen tomorrow, except 102012-10-28 17:43:56 | (0 Comments)
Education Minister Ronald Thwaites says all but 10 schools should re-open tomorrow following the passage of Hurricane Sandy.
He says the schools that will remain close are located in communities which were most affected by the hurricane. Minister Thwaites says a few schools in the Corporate Area and elsewhere that were damaged by the hurricane will only be partially re-opened. These schools include Donald Quarrie High in Harbour View, St Andrew; the Buff Bay Primary School and the College of Agriculture, Science and Education in Portland. The roof of the physics lab at the Calabar High School in St Andrew was also damaged. The education minister is advising principals and school boards to use their discretion to re-open as soon as possible.
