Government change 2040 bond subscription period

The Ministry of Finance has changed the subscription period for the Government of Jamaica fixed rate 2040 bond that was floated last Wednesday.

The original subscription period was scheduled for October 24 to October 26.

However, due to the passage of Hurricane Sandy last Wednesday, the Ministry said it has changed the subscription period to October 26 to October 30.

The bond will floated at an interest rate of 13.25 per cent. It will be paid semi-annually.

The instrument is opened for unlimited subscriptions and is set to mature on February 24, 2040.
