The police have taken into custody scores of persons from the Tawes Pen community in Spanish Town, St Catherine following the murder of a woman on Saturday. A curfew has been in place in the area since this morning. During a raid this morning, more than 100 men were detained. The police say the men are being processed. Senior police investigators say the operation forms part of the police force’s anti-crime initiative. On Saturday night, 53-year-old Donna Cowan was shot and killed by men wearing army fatigue.
