Cold front to bring rain for Jamaica this week

2012-10-29 18:31:18 | (0 Comments)

Meteorological Service is forecasting increased showers for Jamaica this Thursday as a result of a cold front over the western Caribbean.

The Met Service says the system is producing a line of showers from the western Caribbean to eastern Cuba while moving eastward.

According to the Met Service, the cold front is likely to pass over Jamaica tomorrow and then linger east of the island on Thursday.

Windy conditions are likely, especially over northern parishes.

It says cooler conditions, near two to three degrees below normal, are also expected across most places as the front moves over the island tomorrow.

Over the period, showers and thunderstorms will gradually increase, peaking on Thursday.
