DNA tests have confirmed that the body of a female found along the Port Royal Road nearly two weeks ago is that of missing Post and Telecommunications Department employee Tandy Lewis.

This was confirmed this afternoon by Director of Communications for the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the JCF, Karl Angell.

Lewis was reported missing from her St Andrew home on October 16.

A day later, the body of a female was found along the Port Royal road, in an area that was apparently set on fire.

The East Kingston Police, who discovered the body, revealed days later that a preliminary post mortem indicated that the victim was 18 to 20 years old and four months pregnant.
