NewsBUSINESS: James Goren to receive UTech honorary degree2012-11-01 12:02:18 | (0 Comments) ![]() James Goren, co-chairman of the advisory board of UTech West - Contributed Goren is an investment adviser for stocks and real estate and heads several agencies and corporations involved in those areas, the UTech said in a release. It said he has had a distinguished career spanning almost 30 years involving various complex capital market investments and large-scale real estate development projects. Born in Milan, Italy, Goren holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in banking from Bocconi University in that country. He has been managing partner of Goren Brothers since 1985, a partnership that invests in various real estate and non real estate ventures in the United States and the Caribbean, UTech said. Goren Brothers has played a leading role in a number of real estate projects, providing both low-middle income and luxury units in New Jersey and New York, USA, the release said. In Jamaica, Goren’s investment of his expertise and experience in real estate development has brought hope to citizens in the west with the development of 1,285 units in Falmouth, Trelawny through real estate development company, Zuccherina Developments Limited for which he serves as managing partner. Goren is also managing partner, JAG Consulting, which specializes in financial and real estate projects. He is also president of MAG MULTI Corporation, which owns and operates industrial property in New York. Since 1998, Goren has also held the position of managing member of Cousin Team 1, 11, 111, & 1V, a consortium which owns various real estate properties in New York and Montreal, Canada. From 1987 -1990 Goren was chairman of the institutional boutique brokerage firm, New York and Foreign Securities and was partner of SGS Associates from 1980-86.
