Some classes at The University of Technology (UTech) were disturbed last evening as there was chaos following accusations that two male students were held in a bathroom in a compromising position.

Information reaching our news centre is that the men were set upon by a mob, after they were accused of being held having sexual intercourse.

One of them escaped but the other was held by security guards.

A YouTube video shows the alleged gay man being kicked, punched and slapped by two male security personnel in a room while a female security guard watched with a piece of board in hand.

The security personnel were reportedly shielding the man from the angry mob on the outside.

Efforts by our news team to speak with a representative from the campus were unsuccessful as calls to several contacts including the Safety and Security department went unanswered.
