NHT gives mortgagors until December 7 to file hurricane claims

2012-11-02 17:17:15 | (0 Comments)

The National Housing Trust (NHT) says mortgagors who have suffered damage to their homes as a result of Hurricane Sandy have until December 7 to submit an insurance claim.

The Trust says in order to file a claim, mortgagors need to fill out a Peril Insurance Claim Form, submit an estimate and photographs of the damage and valid identification including their Tax Registration Number.

The NHT says the homeowner is responsible for covering the first two percent of the sum insured.

It says the insurance policy does not cover loss or damage to what’s inside the house.
