The two brothers charged in connection with the rape of five female relatives in Irwin Point, St James have been granted bail on their gun-related charges.
However, they have been remanded in connection with the rape matter.
They were each offered $200,000 bail on the charges of wounding with intent and illegal possession of a firearm when they appeared in the Western Regional Gun Court today.
The were offered bail following an application by attorney-at-law Lambert Johnson.
Johnson says the men were offered bail on the basis that an identification parade did not provide a positive match.
He further said he postponed his bail application on the rape matter after his clients volunteered to give blood samples for DNA analysis.
The men are to return to court on December 13.
It’s reported that on September 24, the two men abducted five females, including an eight-year-old girl, from their home in Irwin Point, and then robbed and raped them in an open lot in the area.
