Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller has extended congratulations to President Barack Obama saying his re-election is a victory for democracy.

She says Obama’s re-election is the reward for his efforts over the past four years to guide the US towards a path of sustainable economic recovery.

And Simpson Miller also says the victory is an endorsement of Obama’s agenda to move the US forward.

In the meantime, the Prime Minister says Jamaica looks forward to the continued strengthening of the special bonds of friendship between Jamaica and the US under President Obama’s leadership.
