March 14 trial for businessman in Oakland Apartments murder
2012-11-09 09:11:30 | (0 Comments)
The trial of 33-year-old St Andrew businessman Steven Causewell for his ex-girlfriend’s murder has been set for March 14 next year in the Home Circuit Court.
The Crown is alleging that 28-year-old Nordia Mitchell died after she sustained serious injuries at her home at Oakland Apartments in Constant Spring, on July 16, 2008.
It was first reported that Mitchell died from a fall at her apartment.
However, a post-mortem revealed that Mitchell did not die from injuries consistent with a fall, as was initially mentioned.
The Crown is alleging that Mitchell died from injuries she sustained during a beating.
Causewell’s bail was extended when he appeared in court yesterday.
