Spanish Town bypass to be closed Sunday

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that the Spanish Town Bypass in St Catherine will be closed to vehicular traffic, in the vicinity of Food for the Poor on Sunday.

The agency says the roadway will be closed between 6 o’clock in the morning and 9 o’clock in the night.

The NWA says the closure will facilitate repair work at the railway crossing.

Motorists travelling towards Old Harbour or Bog Walk should turn right onto Lower Oxford Road, left onto Oxford Road, left onto Wellington Street then proceed to the Old Harbour round-a-bout.

The reverse obtains for motorists travelling towards Twickenham Park or Central Village.

Motorists are being advised to proceed with caution and to obey the instructions of flag persons and posted signs.
