The Kingston and St Andrew Corporation (KSAC) says it will be embarking on the second phase of its trade license fee collection drive on Monday.

Town Clerk Errol Greene says the KSAC has already undertaken assessments and collections in downtown Kingston, Cross Roads and New Kingston.

However, he says the drive is being intensified as the compliance rate is not at the level the Corporation expects it to be.

It is not yet known how much has been collected since the drive started on September 3.

Mayor of Kingston Angella Brown-Burke disclosed on September 11 that approximately $1.5 million was collected by Tax Administration Jamaica in the first week of the initiative.
