22-y-o held with illegal gun in Central Village

A 22-year-old man has been charged with illegal possession of firearm by the Central Village police in St Catherine.

He has been identified as Kareem Burke of Big Lane in Central Village. He was arrested following a police operation at his home.

The Constabulary Communication Network reports that about 11:00 yesterday morning, a team of officers found 15 assorted rounds of ammunition in the ceiling of a room in the house. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Burke is scheduled to appear before the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate’s Court on December 4.
