10 arrested for illegal gun, ammo find in Portmore

The police in Portmore, St Catherine have commenced a probe into the seizure of two firearms and the arrest of 10 people in an operation on Port Henderson Road this morning.

The Constabulary Communication Network reports that about 1:50 a.m., an operation was conducted at a business establishment along the roadway, where they found a bag containing a .45 pistol loaded with two rounds and a Bryco .380 pistol loaded with one round.

The 10 persons, which includes two women and eight men, who were on the property at the time of the recovery, were taken into custody.
