NewsEarly adjournment in Boulevard case as defence tenders new evidence2012-11-12 12:45:13 | (0 Comments)
Barbara Gayle, Justice Coordinator
The trial of the three policemen charged for the 2004 murders of Kemar Walters and Oliver Duncan, was adjourned early this morning after new evidence was submitted in the case. Defence lawyers told the court that they have received a CD-recorded statement by the main witness who has been testifying since last week. The lawyers have asked for time to have the recording transcribed as they say it contains material that could be critical to the case. The trial resumes tomorrow morning. Assistant Superintendent of Police Victor Barrett and Constables Louie Lynch and Paul Edwards are charged with the murders of Walters and Duncan. The men disappeared from a Plaza along Washington Boulevard in 2004.
