Port Maria tax office reopens

The Port Maria tax office in St. Mary re-opened for business today Wednesday, November 14 following repairs and clean-up activities after recent flood rains in the area.

The tax authority has made every effort to ensure that the operations of the Port Maria location were restored to normalcy to facilitate payroll payments which are due today, Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) said in a release.

Damage assessments have also been completed.

The public is also being reminded that the filing and payment of major taxes may be done online via the Jamaica tax portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm., TAJ said.
