The police are offering a $1 million-reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and charge of the persons involved in the murder of retired Senior Superintendent Anthony ‘Tony’ Hewitt.

Hewitt was attacked on September 16 by two men, shortly after he alighted from his car in a gated complex in the community of Donmair, off Red Hills Road, St Andrew.

He died from the gunshot wounds he received.

It is believed that gunmen in the area attacked the senior cop in retaliation for the recent police killing of a man in a nearby community.

Three men who were being questioned in relation to the shooting were eventually released after they were not pointed out at an identification parade.
