Accused in Lauriston beheading case remanded again

2012-11-19 08:48:30 | (0 Comments)

The five men charged with the beheading of a mother and daughter in Lauriston, St Catherine are scheduled to return to court on January 1.

Sanja Ducally, Fabian Smith, Kemar Riley, Roshane Goldson and security guard Adrian Campbell are charged with the double murder.

When the matter was mentioned in the Home Circuit Court on Friday, a trial date could not be set because Goldson does not have a lawyer.

Justice Courtney Daye has ordered legal aid assignment for Goldson.

The Crown is alleging that on July 20, last year, 40-year-old Charmaine Cover-Rattray and her 19-year-old daughter, Joeith Lynch, were asleep in their

Lauriston home when armed thugs kicked off their door and entered.

The men reportedly murdered the women and then cut off their heads.

The women's heads were found some distance away from their home.
