A man was murdered in Hopeton district in Manchester this morning.

The police say 22-year-old Danny Derrick Broderick also called ‘Junior’, was at home with his girlfriend when he went outside shortly after midnight.

His girlfriend reportedly heard gunshots shortly after.

She told the police that when she went outside to investigate, she saw Broderick suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police say Broderick had an illegal possession of firearm case before the
Court.
