Smyczek, Rowe win NCB tennis titles

World 130 ranked American Tim Smyczek and Jamaica's Tinesta Rowe won the men's and women's singles titles respectively at the NCB Capital Markets Open Tennis Championships on Sunday.

Top seed Smyczek came from a set down to beat second seed Darian King of Barbados 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 at the Liguanea Club in New Kingston.

Rowe, the number two women's seed, had earlier eased past her compatriot and top seed, Ffion Fletcher, 6-1, 6-2.

The men's champion collected US$4,000 while the women's winner received US1,100.
