NewsMore rains for northern parishes2012-11-27 08:59:26 | (0 Comments)
The Metrological Service says northern parishes will see an increase in rainfall over the next two days.
The Met Service said a Surface Trough currently over the central Caribbean has been producing an area of showers from Hispaniola to Jamaica. It further said a Cold Front now across the western Caribbean is also expected to move close to Jamaica today. The Met Service has forecast that this will continue to produce more showers across the country, especially over northern parishes. Meanwhile, it said with the passage of the Cold Front, strong northerly winds of 20-25 knots are expected over offshore areas north and south of the island. Marine interests are urged to exercise caution during this period.
