The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre The man accused of hitting a basic school teacher in the head with a decorative block is to return to court on December 13. Clinton Irons was charged yesterday with wounding with intent. He remains in police custody. The incident happened on Tuesday at the Timothy Burke Basic School in Lucky Hill, St Mary. In the meantime, the teacher Jacqueline Samuels, remains hospitalised in a coma. However, a family member told our news centre that her condition seems to be improving. The basic school teacher was hit unconscious by Irons, after she reportedly instructed his five-year-old son to clean up his urine. It is reported that the child was continuously urinating in the classroom. Irons, who worked as a grounds man at the school turned himself over to the police sometime after the incident.
