Montague, who has been acting in the post since Mike Henry withdrew from the position a year ago, was elected today at the party's Belmont Road, St Andrew headquarters by delegates over Members of Parliament Derrick Smith, Delroy Chuck and Edmund Bartlett. Meanwhile, former general secretary Aundre Franklin has been elected deputy chairman over Senator Arthur Williams and MP for North West St James Dr. Horace Chang got more votes than Joan Gordon Webley to become general secretary. And the four deputy general secretary positions have gone to MP for South Central St Catherine, Dr Andrew Wheatley; former KSAC Councillor, Audley Gordon; former MP Dr St Aubyn Bartlett; and South St James caretaker, Homer Davis. About 160 delegates have been voting in today's internal elections.
