The trial of the woman charged with the murder of her sister in Portmore, St. Catherine is to resume today in the St Catherine Circuit Court. Suzan Smith is on trial for the murder of Stacey Ann Smith, who was found buried under the floor of their house in February. When the matter was last heard, the son of the deceased testified that the accused told him that his mother had left Jamaica and had not returned. He further said when he insisted that there was a foul scent coming from a section of the yard, he was told it was a dead rat. It is alleged that during an argument with Suzan, Stacey-Ann was hit on the head with a blunt object. Stacy Ann died as a result of the injury. Her sister then reportedly buried her body in a section of the house which was under construction.
