Jamaica is now a member of the International Fencing Federation and officials from Kingston are now in Moscow to attend the sport’s premier summit. News confirming the membership came from the International Fencing Federation to the Jamaica Fencing Federation. President of the Jamaica Fencing Federation, James McBean, is leading the charge to have Jamaica represented at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. Plans are also afoot to secure Jamaica's participation at international championships, leading up to the 'Sambo' Games in South America. McBean and chairman of the Advisory Board, Christopher Samuda, are among Jamaica's representatives at the International Fencing Federation's congress in Moscow. The congress begins today.
