West Indies beat Bangladesh by 75 runs

West Indies beat hosts Bangladesh comprehensively by 75 runs in the fourth One-Day Internationals at Dhaka today to level the five-match series at 2-2.

Sent in to bat, West Indies were restricted to 211 for nine with captain Darren Sammy top scoring with an undefeated 60 from 62 balls.

Opener Chris Gayle was again dismissed cheaply. He scored 16 from 25 balls, while his Jamaican teammate Marlon Samuels, who scored a century in the third match was dismissed for 27.

Darren Bravo scored 34 and Kieran Powell 26.

Mahmudullah starred with the ball picking up three wickets for 46 runs.

Needing a 212 for victory, Bangladesh were bowled out for 136 in 34 point 1 overs after struggling at 13 for five in 5 point 3 overs.

Man-of-the-Match Sammy led the bowling for West Indies with three for 28, while Dwayne Smith, Kemar Roach and Veerasammy Permaul supported with two wickets apiece.

Mahmudullah scored 56 not out.

Captain Darren Sammy said West Indies came out victorious because of an all round team effort.

Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim says his team was very poor in the field.

The last and final match will be played tomorrow at the same venue.
