Three killed in Clarendon

2012-12-08 18:23:32 | (0 Comments)

Three persons, including a 13-year-old student, were killed in Clarendon in the last 24 hours.

The teen has been identified as Odale Planter, who attended Vere Technical High School.

The others are 26-year-old taxi operator Ricardo Williams and 35-year-old farmer Steve Hugann.

It is reported that Planter and Williams were shot multiple times by unknown assailants while Hugann was chopped to death.

Seventy-eight murders have been reported in Clarendon, since the start of the year.

This is two less than the 80 homicides recorded in the parish last year when murders were reduced to a nine-year low.

Some 298 murders were recorded in Clarendon between 2009 and 2010.
