The police Traffic Department says it has suspended prosecution for at least two companies that have expressed their intention to apply for a Commercial Carrier’s License.

Head of the Department Senior Superintendent Radcliffe Lewis said A&E Ambulance services and AMICO, which operates vehicles for the Jamaica Public Service Company is now in the process of applying for licenses.

However, he said 20 tickets have been issued since this morning in the ongoing operation to prosecute individuals and companies operating without a commercial Carrier’s License.

He is again warning that all persons using their vehicles for economic activity must have the green license plate.
