NewsCentral village gang leader in police custody2012-12-13 11:31:29 | (0 Comments)
The Police have arrested and charged the leader of the Born Bless gang, Dave Morgan who is also known as ‘Dave’.
They say Morgan and 22 others were taken into custody early yesterday morning, during a cordon and search raid in Little Lane, Central Village where his gang is also based. The police say Morgan is now facing charges of possession of and dealing in cocaine following the discovery of 51 pieces of cocaine on his premises. The police say $119,000 was also confiscated from Morgan. The lawmen say they are taking steps to forfeit this money to the Crown. They say 16 of the other 22 persons taken into custody have been charged with various offences including abstraction of electricity and possession of illegal drugs. In the meantime, the officer in charge of the St Catherine South Division, Senior Superintendent Colin Pinnock has put on high alert all police personnel living and working in Central Village in Spanish Town and areas close to Central Village. He said this is because police officers who work in Central Village have been receiving threats to their lives since Morgan was arrested.
