Boulevard trial resumes today

2012-12-14 09:05:50 | (0 Comments)

The three policemen in the Boulevard murder case are to begin mounting their defence when the trial resumes today.

The development follows a ruling by Supreme Court Judge Horace Marsh yesterday, after legal submissions by the cops’ lawyers in the absence of the jury.

Assistant police superintendent Victor Barrett, Corporal Louie Lynch and Constable Paul Edwards are on trial, for the murders of 20-year-old Kemar Walters and 44-year-old Oliver Duncan.

The men were taken away from a plaza on Washington Boulevard, St Andrew on December 23, 2004.

It is being alleged that Lynch and Edwards were present when the men were taken away.

Barrett is accused of covering up the incident when the matter was reported to him.
