The police say the body of an elderly man was removed from the Kingston Harbour in downtown Kingston this morning.

Up to news time, the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) said the man was still unidentified.

Eyewitnesses reported that the man jumped into the water along Ocean Boulevard, but police investigators say they could not confirm this.

CCN reports that shortly after 6 a.m. residents reported seeing the body floating in the water and the Marine Police were alerted.
