NewsGov't seeks more from coffee, restructures coffee board2012-12-23 10:51:04 | (0 Comments) ![]() Agriculture Minister Roger Clarke says the CIB is being transformed to meet the demands for improving efficiency as well as savvy marketing and promotion of the island's distinctive coffee, especially the internationally acclaimed Blue Mountain brand. As a result, Minister Clarke says the regulatory and marketing segments of the CIB’s operations will be separated. He says a team has been put in place to devise the appropriate measures that would allow for this to be done, thereby allowing for the profile of the CIB, which up until now has largely been seen as a regulator, to be raised. The Minister was speaking at the board’s long service awards ceremony last week.
