The Bank of Jamaica is projecting that local currency circulation will peak at $67 billion today.

The projected currency circulation is 19 per cent more than the figure that was in circulation for December last year.

Up to December 21 this year, $65.5 billion was in circulation, an increase of 5.7 per cent over the similar period last year.

The December 21 increase was consistent with the trend since the start of the month.
