The grounds man at the Timothy Burke Basic School in Lucky Hill, St Mary, who is charged in relation to an attack on a teacher is to return to court on January 31.

Clinton Irons was remanded when he appeared in court last week.

The police are still waiting to collect a statement from the basic school teacher, who was hit in the head with a decorative block, after she instructed Irons’ son to clean up his urine.

The teacher Jacqueline Samuels remains in hospital, after she was knocked into a coma last month.

Relatives say her condition is improving.
