Snow storm kills 12 in US

At least 12 people have been killed by a severe snow storm in the United States.

In the meantime, winter storm warnings have been issued by the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service says states in New England are due to see heavy snowfall, with up to 18 inches of snow expected in parts of Maine.

Heavy snow has also been reported in eastern parts of Canada.
