Businessman robbed, shot in Sligoville

A St Catherine businessman is in hospital in serious condition after he was shot and injured during an early morning robbery in Sligoville in the parish.


Reports reaching The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre are that the businessman was at home at about 2:00 a.m. when he was robbed by three armed men.

The men took $5000 and a cellular phone. The businessman was shot in the back of the head by the men as they made their escape. He was taken to hospital where he has been admitted in serious condition.

The St Catherine Major Investigation Task Force is probing the incident.
