Trelawny crash victims identified

The three women who were killed in a motor vehicle collision in Trelawny yesterday have been identified.

They are 76-year-old Gloria Capleton, a nurse’s aid of Brooklyn, New York , 53-year-old Claudette Grant, a nurse and 34-year-old Vanessa Brown, a counsellor, both of Marlborough, Maryland addresses, also in the US.

The women were killed about 11 o’ clock yesterday after the car they were travelling in crashed into a Toyota Coaster bus.

According to the police, their Nissan Tida motor car was going towards Falmouth.



The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle which then skidded, spun and then slammed into the back of a Toyota Coaster bus.

The police say the road was wet at the time of the crash.

The police say the driver of the car remains in hospital in stable condition.

They say another man, who was also a passenger in the car, was treated and released.

Passengers in the bus who received minor injuries were also treated and released.
