Another suspect has been taken into custody in relation to the murder of police corporal Ransford Durrant who was killed on December 17.

The police say Anthony Brown was among three men, who were picked up during a predawn search operation along the Angels Main Road in St. Catherine this morning.

Brown, who also goes by the names Taliban and Bowie had escaped from a jail in St. Ann in November.

The names of the other men have not been released.

However, the police say a Browning 9 millimeter pistol with the serial number erased and five 9 millimeter rounds were found in the truck in which the men were travelling.

Corporal Durrant was attacked in the Windsor community while he was visiting the mother of his child.

Another suspect was taken arrested on the same day of the cop’s murder.
