Rasbert Turner, Gleaner Writer
Two members of the Island Special Constabulary Force have been arrested for allegedly collecting a bribe from a Canadian policeman. They turned themselves in to the Anti-Corruption Branch for an interview after hearing they were implicated in a crime. They were held on suspicion of breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act. It's reported that the policemen were on duty when they observed a motorist committing a traffic breach. It’s reported that the Canadian motorist paid the policemen CAN$40 to avoid prosecution. A report was subsequently made against the policemen. A file has been compiled and sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for a ruling.
