Boulevard murder trial postponed

The Boulevard murder trial has been put off until tomorrow, when Justice Horace Marsh is expected to complete his summation.

The judge has been making his summation to the 12-member jury since last week.

Corporals Paul Edwards and Louie Lynch and Assistant Superintendent Victor Barrett on are trial, in connection with the disappearance of 20-year-old Kemar Walters and 44-year-old Oliver Duncan on December 23, 2004.

The trial began on October 29.

The Crown’s main witness, who is a former policeman, has testified that Edwards told him that the men were shot and killed.

Barrett is accused of covering up the incident after a report was made to him.

The three policemen have given unsworn statements denying that they were involved in the incident.
