UPDATE: Jury retires in Boulevard murder case

2013-01-09 11:31:11 | (0 Comments)

The 12-member jury hearing the Boulevard murder case has retired to consider a verdict.

The jurors began deliberating this morning minutes after Justice Horace Marsh completed his summation.

The jurors will have to decide whether the evidence they heard during the trial which began on October 29 is enough to convict the three policemen accused of murder.

Corporals Paul Edwards and Louie Lynch and Assistant Superintendent Victor Barrett are on trial in connection with December 23, 2004 disappearance of 20-year-old Kemar Walters and 44-year-old Oliver Duncan.

Barrett is accused of covering up the incident after a report was made to him.
