UPDATE: Retrial ordered for corporals in Boulevard murder case

Justice Horace Marsh has ordered a retrial for police corporals Paul Edwards and Louie Lynch in the Boulevard murder case.

The matter is to be heard in the Home Circuit Court on February 8.

Their bail has been extended until that time.



Marsh made the order a short while ago saying he could not accept the verdict of guilty by virtue of a 9-3 majority for Edwards and hung jury in the case of Lynch.

Earlier, the jurors acquitted Assistant Superintendent Victor Barrett.

The cops who are attached to the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) had been on trial since October last year for the murders of Kemar Walters and Oliver Duncan.
