Livern Barrett, Gleaner Writer

A well-known pastor was this morning shot and injured by gunmen outside his church in the community of Fletcher's Land in Kingston.

He is Reverend Clinton Loney, Pastor of Victory Churches International, located on King Street.

Family members say reverend Loney's injuries are not life-threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery.

It’s reported that shortly after 7 o'clock this morning, Loney was standing outside his church when he was approached by one of two men standing nearby.

One eyewitness says the man pulled a firearm and opened fire, hitting him in the hand.
