2013-01-11 14:06:21 | (0 Comments)
Jamaica, relegated to fourth place last night, have a glorious chance to move up the standings when the Caribbean Twenty20 continues today at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad.
The Jamaicans, who are on five points four behind leaders and defending champions Trinidad and Tobago, will play bottom place Leeward Islands in the first game today.
That game is scheduled to begin at 3 o’clock in the evening Jamaica time.
Jamaica were relegated to fourth place after Guyana stunned Barbados by 42 runs last night.
Jamaica’s opponents the Leeward Islands are without a point from two games.
And victory for Jamaica will push them to join first with T&T. However, the Jamaicans have played a game more than the top three teams.
The second game features second place Barbados against winless Combined Campuses and Colleges, who suffered a 42-run defeat to the Windward Islands in the first game last night.
It was the first victory for the Windward Islands from two games.
