A man believed to be of unsound mind has been hospitalised after he was shot twice by a policeman he allegedly attacked in Montego Bay, St James this morning.
According to reports, the police officer was forced to defend himself against the unidentified man who attacked him with a machete on Church Lane in downtown Montego Bay. Persons claiming to witness the incident say the cop ordered the man to drop his weapon and made several attempts to disarm him, but he continued to pursue the officer. When his efforts to dissuade the man failed, the policeman pulled his firearm and shot the man twice. The man was taken to hospital where he is being treated. His condition was not known up to news time. Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
